Engage emails being flagged by uBlock Origin

uBlock Origin is a browser extension designed to block ads, trackers, and other intrusive elements on websites. With the increasing popularity of the Arc Browser – where uBlock Origin comes pre-installed – you may experience some emails sent from Metorik being flagged.

What causes this

This alert is caused by uBlock Origin seeing the click-tracking URL from our email sending partner, Postmark, as an advertising tracking activity, blocking the loading of the content, and displaying the error to the email recipient.

When click tracking is enabled, Postmark will rewrite the links in your email so it can see when links are being clicked, before seamlessly redirecting the recipient to the original link.

How to prevent this

To prevent this from occurring, you will need to turn off Click Tracking for Engage emails.

Important: If you turn off Click Tracking you won't see click stats for any new Cart Emails, Automations, or Broadcast emails so be sure you definitely want to do this.

Turning off click tracking will not remove existing click data.

To turn off Click Tracking visit your Engage Settings and uncheck the Click Tracking option as shown below:
