Managing your Engage email credits

About Engage & Billing

Metorik's Engage email marketing suite allows you to send abandoned cart emails, transactional emails, bulk broadcasts & newsletters, and many email automations for orders, customers, and more.

A few key things to note:

  • For the purpose of billing, all Engage emails are counted the same
  • Email quotas are applied to the Company, and are shared across all stores
  • Digests and Exports do not count toward your email quota

Included Emails

As part of every Metorik plan, you'll receive many thousands of email credits to use, with no additional charges. These are referred to as included emails. The amount of included emails you'll receive depends on which plan you're on.

For most stores, the included emails will be sufficient for their abandoned cart emails, transactional emails, and even a monthly newsletter.

Company Admin's can check the included emails for their plan from their Company Engage settings.

Checking Email Usage

You can check your email usage across your whole company from the Company Engage settings page. Clicking the "Stats by Store" button will show the email usage by store table, as shown below:

Managing Additional Emails

Your Included Emails, plus any Email Packs equal what we call your Email Quota

Adding an Email Pack

Admins can add an Email Pack at any time if you need to send more than the Included Emails. If you don't have access to this for your store, please contact the Admin for your company subscription.

To add an email pack to your plan;

  1. Visit your Company Engage settings
  2. Click the blue "Add Email Pack" button
  3. Select how many additional email you need
  4. Choose your payment method, and click "Add Email Pack"

Shopify Subscriptions: Please note, you'll be first redirected to Shopify to authorize the one-time payment for this billing period, and then again a second time to authorize the modification to your subscription.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Your email quota resets each billing period. If you purchase a 50,000 email pack with 5 days remaining in your billing period, you'll only have 5 days to use those additional emails.
  • Your email quota can be utilized by all your company's stores.
  • You can increase your email pack multiple times each period and only pay the difference.
  • Decreasing or removing your email pack will apply from the next billing period, and you'll get to keep the emails you've purchased for the current billing period.

Increasing an existing email pack

If you've already purchased an email pack and need send even more emails, you can simply modify your email pack to a higher one, and then pay only the difference.

For example:

If you've previously purchased a 50,000 email pack, but now need to send another 50,000 emails, you can simply modify your email pack, select the 100,000 option, and you'll pay only the difference ($150 minus $90 already paid, equals $60).

Decreasing an existing email pack

You can decrease your email pack at any time, however the changes will apply from your next billing period. You'll get to keep (and use) any remaining existing emails you've already purchased, until your email quota resets at the end of the billing period.

To decrease your email pack

  1. Visit your Company Engage settings page
  2. Click the "Modify Email Pack" button and select your new pack
  3. Follow the prompts

Removing an email pack

If you don't need to send lots of emails for a while, or even just for next month, you can remove any email packs and simply take advantage of your plans included emails.

You can remove your email pack at any time, however the changes will apply from your next billing period. You'll get to keep (and use) any remaining existing emails you've already purchased, until your email quota resets at the end of the billing period.

To remove your email pack

  1. Visit your Company Engage settings page
  2. Click the "Modify Email Pack" button and select the "None" option
  3. Follow the prompts
