Automation Activation: Sending Limits

When you're first activating an automation, depending on the number of current customers/orders/subscriptions that match the rules, you're given the option to send it to both the current matches or just the future matches:

If there are a high number of current matches (500+), we may not allow you to send it to the current matches, but just future matches:

Why?

Currently Engage is not intended for bulk emailing. Technically, the emails that Engage sends are considered transactional, so sending 1000's of emails at once to your customers may cause your emails to end up in SPAM and hurt your sending reputation.

Exceptions can be made depending on the type of email being sent, so send us a message and we will check for you.
