Seeing sales broken down by brand for WooCommerce

Metorik integrates with WooCommerce brands, allowing you to view sales reports broken down by brand, filter products by brand, and see brand performance over time. This guide shows you how to set up brands in WooCommerce and then analyze them in Metorik.

Before you begin

Metorik syncs brands automatically from:

As of WooCommerce 9.6, Brands is included in the core WooCommerce plugin. If you're on an older version, you'll need one of the plugins above.

1

Set up brands in WooCommerce

Navigate to WooCommerce → Products → Brands in your WordPress admin.

Click Add New Brand and enter:

  • Name — The brand name (e.g., "Nike", "Apple")

  • Description — Optional, for your reference

  • Parent — Optional, for hierarchical brands (e.g., "Apple" as parent of "iPhone")

Click Add New Brand to save.

2

Assign brands to products

Go to WooCommerce → Products and select a product.

In the right sidebar, you'll see a Brands box (similar to Categories). Check the brand(s) you want to assign to the product.

Click Update or Save to apply the changes.

3

Reimport products if needed

If you set up brands after connecting your store to Metorik, the brand data won't appear automatically. You'll need to reimport your products.

Go to Connection Settings in Metorik and use the Reimport Products tool. Alternatively, contact Metorik support to reimport products for you.

4

View your Brands Report

Go to the Brands Report in Metorik to see an overview of how each brand is performing.

The report shows:

  • Sales, orders, and items sold per brand

  • Profit and margin data (if you have profit tracking set up)

  • Click any brand to see a detailed sales report for just that brand

5

Filter products by brand

Go to the Product Sales page in Metorik.

Use the segmenting filters to:

  • Include specific brands — Click Add Filter, choose Brand, select the brands to include

  • Exclude brands — Use the exclude option to remove brands from your results

This lets you drill down into exact brand combinations or compare performance across brands.
