Engage API
Using the Metorik API, you can view, create, and update Engage data like Profiles and your unsubscribe list.
To start, create an API key in the store settings here. Only admins can access this.

Rate limits
Profiles and Unsubscribes requests count toward the overall store API limit of 1,000 requests per minute per IP address, shared with the other store API requests from that IP address.
Reports & Data endpoints have their own limit: 60 requests per minute per store, shared across that store's API keys. This limit does not apply to Engage profile writes.
If you receive an HTTP 429 response, wait for the Retry-After header and retry with backoff.
Updating many profiles
The Profiles endpoint handles one profile per request; there is no bulk endpoint. If you're updating thousands of profiles, pace your requests and group all property updates for one profile into a single add_properties object instead of sending each property as its own request.
A profile request whose email matches an existing WooCommerce or Shopify customer can update that customer's Metorik Properties and consent. These property changes are local to Metorik and do not write custom fields back to your store platform.
